And just like that...the story continues...

And just like that…they reboot a classic. And how do we feel about it? Not sure, but from what we can gather about the next instalment of the Sex and the City franchise on HBO Max has our interest peeked.
While Samantha, one of the main characters, will not join the cast this time, a whole host of new and diverse characters will include Sara Ramirez, of Grey’s Anatomy fame, Nicole Ari Parker from Empire fame, and Sarita Choudhury, whose roles are as expansive as her sex appeal.
Similarly, there has been somewhat of a handover regarding the costume design of the new instalment. This SATC reboot will be singularly designed by Molly Rogers, whose costume work includes The Sex and the City TV series and films Ugly Betty and The Devil Wears Prada.
Not a fashion newby by any means, Rogers worked for decades under the guidance of and alongside the long-time fashion queen and head designer Patricia Field. However, Field, who reemerged last year, at age 80, to oversee the wardrobe of Emily in Paris felt she wasn’t able to commit to both shows.
"My dance card was full...I wasn't able to be in New York doing that and be in Paris doing Emily in Paris," Field told WWD of having to turn down the gig working on the HBO Max revival And Just Like That. "But I told them to call my very dear friend Molly Rogers, who also worked in my store back in the day. She did Sex and the City with me from start to finish. She knew it well, so she's doing it."
And if you were anything like us, you would have always closely followed the original SATC Stan account @everyoutfitonsatc for anything and all about SATC. But from what we have seen, they are not following this new instalment as closely as the new account @andjustlikethatcloset. Run by Victoria, a 23 yr old teacher @bazalinchuk, the Instagram account ‘And just like that closet’, is a fan page for the new instalment- covering all things closet and news updates. Her motivation, pure; credentials, gen z; and success rating speaks for itself with 29K followers and counting.
“When I found out that Sex and the City was coming back, I immediately thought that I had to do this.” Victoria shares with the Independent that her motivation was a mix of fandom and wanting to help others purchase the items before they’re prices are inflated “I didn’t want to make people to have to wait because by the time the show airs, most of the clothes the women are wearing will be sold out.”
Bless!
